Yin Stretch Practice

As you might already know, I don't really believe in making New Year's resolutions (you can listen to my recent podcast ep on it here), or that the energy of the new year even really starts in January. Instead I use this time to ground my energy deeper into my dreams so they can blossom come Spring.

Like the butterfly, this next month is all about integrating life's lessons and alchemizing them as you go inward and cocoon.

The quiet months of winter are meant for metamorphosis, and we're going to support ourselves by integrating that energy with a yin practice.

Stretching not only allows us to fully embody ourselves, but it also releases old stories and emotions from the body.

We'll be taking inventory of our core values via our journaling practice, and then we'll be writing letters as our future selves at the end of 2024.

  • What did you spend most of your time and energy on this year?

  • Is it what you wanted to spend your time and energy on?

  • What did you find yourself talking about most?

  • If you could treat yourself to something today, what would it be?

  • What are your long-term goals and dreams?

  • What makes you feel most alive?

  • If you could sum up your life in 4 words, what would they be?

BONUS EXERCISE: Write a letter to yourself as if its December 31, 2024. What has changed in your world over the last year? What has stayed the same? What have you accomplished? Who have you become? Write it all down as if it’s already happened and you are so grateful.
